Stylish Morningside Shopping Centre in Sandton recently scooped top honours in the ‘Retail’ development category at the SAPOA Innovative Excellence in Property Development Awards 2010, announced at the SAPOA Convention held at Sun City recently.

The awards honour and recognise innovators and leaders in the commercial property market.

Owned and developed by Flanagan & Gerard Property Development and Investment and Grapnel Property Group, and designed by MDS Architecture, the centres unique and sophisticated design and functionality caught the eye of the judges.

Morningside Shopping Centre met all the criteria identified by the panel of judges, which included a holistic approach in that the centre is economically viable, satisfies the needs of both the investor and user, is aesthetically appealing and enhances the locality in which it is situated.
