Melrose Arch

This festive season, Melrose Arch is bringing the magic back! The famous Christmas lights are on until 10 January and they’re just as spectacular as ever. Visit Melrose Arch, walk through the streets and retail Galleria and admire the dazzling display. Baubles, fairies, a giant teddy bear, stars, reindeer, toys, gifts and more – everything children love and associate with Christmas is up in lights. There’ll also be sweets, treats and delicious food sold on the Square from 3 December, including Swirl ice cream, Sweets from Heaven, Senhor Peri Peri and Hello Tomato, as well as toys and games from Greenbusters. Melrose Arch is renowned for its restaurants so dinner with the family is also a great option.

If you’re looking for an unusual gift or something to brighten your home this festive season, look no further than Melrose Arch’s annual Christmas market. The Christmas market will be held on Melrose Boulevard from Wednesday, 2 December to Saturday, 5 December, from 3pm to 9pm. (Should it rain, the market will be held inside the retail Galleria, on the middle and upper levels.) Christmas decor and gifts, special handcrafted items, jewellery, ladies’ and kids’ clothing, toys, homeware, accessories and more will be available at the market. All Covid-19 protocols will be in place, including physical distancing. Don’t miss it!

Another festive favourite, the well-known Jeppe Pipe Band will return to Melrose Arch on Friday, 4 December 2020 at 6.45pm to add to the jolly spirit in the precinct, playing favourites like Scotland the Brave, Jingle Bells, Amazing Grace and Little Drummer Boy. The band will start playing in the Square, then make their way through the precinct and back to the Square.

What would Christmas be without Santa Claus? Melrose Arch’s famous Santa Claus will be back from 27 November to 20 December, wandering through the precinct from 7pm to 9pm, meeting young children and hearing what they’d like for Christmas.

Santa Claus:
27-29 November
2-6 December
18-20 December

Covid-19 protocols apply throughout the precinct so please remember to wear your mask, use hand sanitiser and practise physical distancing.
